Withdrawal policy

This policy explains how withdrawals from VestAccrue work: the methods available, processing times, limits, the checks that apply, and what to do if something takes longer than it should. It complements the Deposit & Withdrawal Methods page, which lists every method in table form.

1. Introduction and your agreement

By requesting a withdrawal you confirm that you are the account owner, that the funds are free of restrictions, and that the payout details belong to you. This policy forms part of the Terms of Use and applies to every withdrawal request submitted on the platform. Where this policy and a specific method's conditions differ, the more specific rule applies and is shown on the confirmation screen before you submit the request.

2. Available withdrawal methods

Withdrawals are available by Interac e-Transfer to Canadian bank accounts, to Visa and Mastercard cards used for your deposits, and to the PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay methods connected to your account, in each case subject to the method supporting payouts and to your bank's participation. Crypto payouts to an external address are available for balances held in digital assets, subject to verification of the destination address. Generally, funds are returned by the same rail they arrived on; changing your primary payout method requires the cooling-off checks described in section 6.

3. Processing times

Standard processing after approval: Interac e-Transfer and PayPal within 24 hours; Visa and Mastercard 1 to 3 business days; Apple Pay and Google Pay initiated payouts 1 to 5 business days; external crypto transfers depend on network conditions and are broadcast promptly after approval. Requests are processed on business days; a request submitted Friday evening begins processing Monday. Factors that can extend a timeline include additional verification (section 6), payment provider outages, and unusual market conditions causing elevated review volumes.

4. Fees and charges

VestAccrue charges no fee for standard withdrawals by any supported method. Third-party costs, where they exist, are shown before confirmation: some card issuers treat a payout as a currency transaction, and public network fees apply to crypto transfers at the rate of the moment of broadcast. Fee lines always appear on the confirmation screen and in your statement; if a confirmation screen shows a fee inconsistent with this policy, do not confirm it and contact [email protected].

5. Withdrawal limits

Every account has a minimum withdrawal amount of C$50 per request and daily and monthly limits that scale with your verification level and history; your current limits are shown in the dashboard next to the withdrawal form. Higher limits are available on request through your account manager, subject to the same verification standards as the original onboarding. Limits exist to cap the damage a compromised account can do; they are a security feature, not a lock on your money.

6. KYC and AML checks on withdrawals

Withdrawals require a completed identity verification and are subject to the monitoring described in the AML / KYC policy. The first withdrawal to a new method, a change of payout details, or a withdrawal whose pattern differs markedly from your account's history can trigger a documented review, during which the request is held rather than refused. Where a review concludes with a request for documents, the clock in section 3 starts when the review clears. These checks are a legal obligation and exist to prevent someone else from walking away with your balance.

7. Why a withdrawal can be delayed or declined

A request can be delayed or declined for: bank or payout details that do not match your verified identity; documents requested during review that are missing or unreadable; pending checks under AML obligations; restrictions arising from an unresolved complaint or suspected fraud; technical issues at the payment provider; or funds still tied to open positions. A decline is always communicated with the general reason and your options, including the complaints procedure if you disagree. Funds from a declined request remain in your account balance.

8. Your responsibility for payout details

You are responsible for the accuracy of the bank, card, wallet or address details you provide. A payout sent to details you entered incorrectly can be irrecoverable, and retrieving it where possible may involve the receiving institution's own processes and fees. Check details character by character on the confirmation screen; for crypto destinations, send a small test amount first whenever the address is new. We would always rather answer a question before a transfer than a recovery case after one.

9. Cancelling or changing a request

A pending request can be cancelled or edited from the dashboard while its status is "pending"; once status becomes "processing", the transfer has left our queue and can no longer be modified. Cancelling is free and instant. If you cancel to adjust an amount or destination, submitting a corrected request restarts the processing clock, which is another reason to verify details before, not after, submitting.

10. Support and expected response

Withdrawal questions go to [email protected] with your request reference. Status questions are answered usually within one business hour during Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:30 ET; disputes about a withdrawal follow the Complaints procedure, with its own timelines and escalation route. If a stated processing time has passed by more than two business days, write to us: an escalated trace is opened with the payment provider immediately.

11. Updates to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in methods, requirements or our practices. Material changes are announced in the dashboard at least 14 days before taking effect, and the revised version is published on this page with its effective date. Continued use of withdrawal services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy; where a change affects an already-submitted request, the version in force at submission applies to it.
